New York Rangers beat the Calgary Flames on Monday night in an OT Thriller 5-4. Alexis Lafreniere scored the game-winner.

Filip Chytil scored two first-period goals.

Zibanejad scored the next two goals, the second, being a one-timer shot that tied the game at 12:55 of the third period.

“We had to bounce back and fortunately, Mika buried another one,” New York coach Gerard Gallant said. “We were definitely disappointed giving up two goals that quick.”

Halak made 28 saves in the Blueshirts’ first game since Jan 27th.

New York was on a power play after Dube received an instigator penalty, in addition to a fighting major and a 10-minute misconduct, after Trouba hit Kadri in the Rangers’ zone.

The Rangers host the Canucks on Wednesday Night at 8pm.
