Since the Rangers last took the ice 140 days ago, we have learned a lot about our team and our fandom. While everything is different than it was on that night, at the same time, nothing has really changed. The team is the same, the fans are the same, and the desire to hoist the Stanley Cup is the same. In the days since March 11, we, as Rangers fans, have become more passionate than ever. We have a playoff hockey team to root for, we have a Hart trophy finalist to root for, we have a King making his last push for a Cup to root for. These 140 days have been horrible in so many ways, but tonight, when we flip on MSG Network, and see Sam and Joe talking about OUR New York Rangers, all will feel normal again. As it has been so many times before, the New York Rangers will serve as an escape from the tragedies that are going on in our beloved city. So, tonight, let’s beat those fish sticks one more time and begin the push for Lord Stanley’s Cup! Let’s go Rangers!
