Rangers looking for their first win of the year in Carolina

The Rangers come into PNC arena desperately looking for their first win of the 2018-2019 season. Despite putting up 44 shots on goal last night in Buffalo the Rangers were unable to convert and fell to Buffalo 3-1 for their 2nd loss of the season. Georgiev is between the pipes tonight. Georgiev has a 1-0 career record vs the Canes when he made 41 saves against them late last season at the Garden. Carolina is coming in strong tonight after a terrific bounce back game defeating the Bluejackets Friday night 3-1 after suffering an overtime loss to the Islanders in their home opener. The storyline last night was Hutton with 43 saves and Buffalo converting twice on the power play. Look for the Rangers to come out fast and try to establish a forecheck early in the game. The Rangers need to stay out of the box and play 5 on 5 hockey with a fast transition game. We expect to see the Rangers clog the neutral zone and force Carolina to the outside. This is the first of 11 back to back games for the Rangers this season. Returning home Thursday October 11th to face the San Jose Sharks.
